Mike Gwidt Wins 3rd Feature in a Row on Armed Forces Night at MMS!

The D & D Amusement Games Super Stocks took the ½ mile pavement once again tonight with Marv Flick leading the group to the start of the 20-lap feature event.  Star drivers Mark Langreck and Bruce Stanley were unable to compete as the two drivers were caught up in a heat race incident, not of their fault.  Terry Knupp edged by Flick on the first lap and continued to lead until Scott Luck decided it was his turn to lead.  Luck continued to lead while Ryan Hinner and Brian Weinfurter battled for the runner up spot.  As Wausau ace driver Mike Gwidt worked his way through the field, Weinfurter finally edged by Hinner for second.  At the halfway point of the race, it was still Scott Luck in control of the race.  By this time however, Gwidt worked his way to third and was starting to put heavy pressure on a very fast Weinfurter.  On lap 13, Gwidt worked his way past Weinfurter setting his sights on Mr. Luck.

Two laps later, Gwidt power his Rick Grunden prepared machine past a very quick Luck.  Another driver looking very fast was that of Greenwood’s Erin Schlough.  Schlough worked his way through the field and past Weinfurter for third with only 3-laps remaining.  It wasn’t enough time however for Schlough to advance his position, as Gwidt and Luck checked out on the field.  Once official starter Patrick Barrett through the checkered flag, it was all Mike Gwidt.  The young talented driver drove his way to, yet, another feature win.  Scott Luck, Schlough, Weinfurter, and Ryan Hinner were the balance of the top five drivers here tonight in the D & D Amusement Games feature event.  Gwidt covered the field in qualifying and heat action, with Weinfurter taking home the checkered flag in the LiveWire Dash 4 Cash.
