Mike Gwidt Fends Off a Late Race Challenge From a Former Champion to Win His 4th Feature in a Row at MMS!

The D & D Amusement Games Super Stocks took to the ½ mile pavement for their 20-lap feature event.  Leading the way to the green flag was Mark Challet and Terry Knupp.  At the completion of lap-1 it was John Olson at the helm.  Olson, who earlier in the evening captured a heat win, looked strong leading the first 6-laps.  Knocking on his door however was a very fast Scott Luck.  Luck cleared the machine of Olson and built a sizable lead.  Cutting into Luck’s lead was that of point leader, Mike Gwidt.  Gwidt drove by Olson at the midway point of the race and was driving down a very fast Luck racecar.  Gwidt, who has been every bit of impressive thus far this season, appeared to be on his way to another feature win.  However, moving into the runner up position with 4 laps remaining was Brian Back.

Back appeared to have something for Gwidt and was cutting into his lead.  With one-lap remaining, Back pulled up onto the rear bumper of Gwidt, but just ran out of time.  Mike Gwidt scores yet another victory at Marshfield Motor Speedway.  With Brian Back finishing second, brother, Greg Back edged out fast heat winner Scott Luck for the third spot.  Another driver appearing to get his super stock figured out and finishing fifth, was rookie Randall Wilhorn of Nekoosa.

Greg Back edged out brother, Brian Back for the win in the LiveWire Energy Chew Dash 4 Cash.  Heat race winners were John Olson and Scott Luck.
