Erin Schlough Captures His First Feature of 2010 at MMS!

Fourteen cars took to the track in the 20-lap D&D Amusement Games Super Stock feature event.  Matt Pyburn took the early lead with Terry Knupp a close second.  Having a great year and taking over the race lead was Greenwood’s Erin Schlough.  Schlough took over the points lead a few weeks ago and was certainly looking for that to stay status quo.  By lap seven, Schlough built a 10-car length lead on the rest of the field.  Kyle Andrich worked his way to the second spot, with Brian Weinfurter hot on his heels.  At the halfway point of the race, fast qualifier Mike Gwidt worked his way into the third position.

Two laps later, Gwidt worked his way past Andrich for the runner up position.  Racing side by side for the fourth spot was Weinfurter and Lyle Nowak.  This battle went out for 7 laps with Weinfurter finally getting the spot.  Out front, it was all Erin Schlough; Schlough cruised to an easy win with Gwidt coming home in second.  Andrich, Weinfurter, and Nowak rounded out the top five. Mike Gwidt was crowned Mid-Season Champ as Schlough had problems in qualifying, not earning the points needed for the crown.  Gwidt also won the their respective heats.
