CWSSA Regular meeting, 1-12-10

Attendance: 18

Marv Flick read minutes from last meeting, 12-15-09.

     - Greg Back motioned to accept minutes as read, seconded by Matt Pyburn.

CWSSA treasurer, Chuck Hellner, was not in attendance but had notified President, Matt Raykowski, of a $633 balance in CWSSA account.

Old Business

 

-State Park Speedway to hold informational meeting Thursday night 1-21-2010, 7:00 pm, at Howard Johnson’s Inn Wausau, 210 North Mountain Road. SPS has asked that people e-mail if they plan on attending, stateparkspeedway@yahoo.com . Their website is www.stateparkspeedway.com,  and track phone number is (715) 212-9006.

      -          SPS Super Late Model schedule is set, all support classes are pending. 

      -          Matt Raykowski will go to meeting.

      -          SPS races will be Thursday nights with rain dates Sunday afternoons.  Their schedule is June 10 & 24, July 1, 15 & 29, August 12 & 26, and September 29. 

-Point Fund Discussion

                – Follow up on ideas to raise money for point fund

                 – We need someone to check with travel agencies to buy a cruise package to raffle off for point fund

                                – Marv Flick volunteered.

                 -We need someone to check into license requirements to have a raffle

                                – Brian Weinfurter volunteered.

                 -Will we have 2nd, 3rd place or additional prizes for raffle?

                 -Posters

                -KWIK Trip will not be the title sponsor for the CWSSA Super Stock  Division at GSS in 2010.

                -Suggestions to increase participation in raising point fund money.

                                 – Big party, 50/50 raffle tickets at party?

                                 - Brat fry?

- Good year tires discussion

New Business

 

-Greg Back asked members to visit the CWSSA website and answer poll questions.

-CWSSA legal shock absorber list will be put on website shortly for review by poll before being added to rule book

-Display cars at Mid-State Tech mechanics classes the last 2 weeks of April

                – Jeremy Grimm volunteered to look into this with instructor

-Drawing for door prizes

   – Exception to door prizes – only 1 pit pass per person for each off-season
